Bio: Kunal Shah is Chief Growth Officer & Managing Director – Asia for Anaergia, a global integrated solutions provider for conversion of organic waste and wastewater into carbon negative fuel where he overseas global growth and corporate marketing besides leading business activities in Asia Pacific region. Previously he was VP – Global Market Development & Strategy responsible for global marketing and strategic partnerships for the company. Prior to joining Anaergia, he was Country Manager – Malaysia & Indonesia and a member of Global Business Development Team at VA Tech Wabag.
Kunal has spearheaded successful development and implementation of technology-based EPC, DBO and BOT projects in Municipal Solid waste, Biogas, wastewater treatment, sea water desalination, Industrial water & Wastewater reuse projects in South East Asia, Europe, Middle East, India and China.
Kunal is a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from University of Pune, is actively engaged in number of professional activities such as serving as VP and Council Member of Singapore Water Association, Advisory Council Member of World Biogas Association, Council member of Imagine H2O Asia, Global Advisory Council Member of Global Water Impact Fund (GWIF), to name a few and is a Singapore Young Water Leader, 2014.
Kunal is a mentor to several global water and waste startups and an active speaker in various global forums on water, waste and renewable energy and is passionate towards the cause of a “Zero Organic Waste future for the World”, “Maximizing Resource recovery from World’s waste streams” and “24*7 access to clean drinking water for all globally”.
