Wales & West Utilities (WWU) is taking innovative steps to integrate biomethane within its gas distribution network, championing security of supply while steering towards net zero targets. Our Smart Pressure Control (SPC) trails have been introduced so we can go further and at pace. As the first of their kind in the gas distribution sector, the SPC trails are engineered to increase biomethane capacity all year-round, managing fluctuations in demand. By addressing the critical issue of network pressures, SPC is poised to facilitate carbon displacement of over 100,000 tonnes of CO2e annually.
