The Sguazzi OdV PCTO (now FSM) Education Programme is a multi-year initiative delivered in partnership with leading Italian high schools in the Bergamo area to promote understanding of anaerobic digestion and biogas within the context of climate change and circular economy solutions. The programme combines scientific evidence with practical engineering training, including laboratory BMP testing using real organic waste and guided visits to full-scale AD facilities. By integrating environmental awareness, technical design principles, and direct industry collaboration with Anaergia, the initiative provides students with hands-on insight into how anaerobic digestion mitigates methane emissions and transforms organic waste into renewable energy.
