Words from the finalist…

Christine Mapp brings over a decade of expertise and dedication to the Anaerobic Digestion sector. Joining EVE in May 2021 as the Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager, working under the clear objectives and guidance from the board of directors to raise HSEQ standards, she immediately set out to deliver enhanced safety protocols across all sites.  

Christine has successfully implemented a robust permit-to-work system and safe systems of work, significantly increasing awareness and improving safety on high-risk tasks. Her commitment to professional development has driven notable improvements in health and safety performance, as evidenced by enhanced site inspection and audit results.  

Her most significant achievement this year has been playing a significant role in enabling EVE to attain ISO certification, securing three International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certifications for the company. With Christine’s key contributions, EVE has achieved ISO 9001 for quality management systems, ISO 14001 for environmental management, and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety systems.  

Christine is honoured to be shortlisted for this prestigious individual award, representing the impactful strides made by women in shaping the future of biogas.
