The AD & Biogas Industry Awards are organised by the AD & Bioresources Association (ADBA) and the World Biogas Association (WBA) to promote and recognise excellence in the international anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas industry. AD Professionals from all over the world will hope to win these highly coveted awards.

The Awards also offer AD organisations the opportunity to showcase innovation excellence to the wider market.

The judges are industry leaders chosen for their neutrality and expertise.

The organisers will announce the expert judging panel here soon.

 

After the entry deadline of December 31st, 2023, each entry is carefully reviewed by a panel of expert judges who then shortlist up to six entrants for each category.  The shortlisted entries are subsequently debated at a round table event and the winner decided by a majority vote.

The winners are announced at a black tie gala dinner in Birmingham, United Kingdom on the evening of 10th July, 2024. This is in conjunction with the World Biogas Expo held at the NEC on 10th and 11th July, 2024.

The awards are open to any company or organisation operating in the AD and biogas industry anywhere around the world, regardless of size or sector.

There is no entry fee, the awards are free to enter.

All applications must relate to achievements during the 12 month period January 2023 through December 2023. However, relevant material can be submitted for work prior to January 2023.

The judges will be looking for real evidence of the entrant meeting all the criteria whilst embracing the underlying values of the competition.

All entrants to any of the below categories MUST include:

  • A summary of the submission
  • An explanation of the contribution it has made or could make to the AD industry, and why it was outstanding
  • Robust and verifiable evidence to document the claims being made

Multiple entries are welcome, but every entry should be specific to the entered category.

Yes, each entry will be kept fully confidential.

The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into after the judging. Due to the number of entries and the confidentiality of the process we are unfortunately unable to give feedback on to why an entry has not been included on the shortlist.

The AD & Biogas Industry Awards Black tie gala dinner and ceremony takes place in the evening following the first day of The World Biogas Expo.

The 2024 Awards ceremony and gala dinner will be held in Birmingham, on the evening of July 10th 2024.

The dress code is black tie, please dress to suit.
